Self Catering
You can also self-cater meals, but be cautious. Cooking for a large group is a lot of work. It is also easy to end up cooking too much food, spending too much money. Then there is the worry about how things will turn out. This is nothing you need on a day as important as a wedding day. The best chance for a successful self-catered meal is when someone in the family has commercial cooking experience.
Please remember that there are no kitchen facilities at Homestead Meadows. All food must be brought in ready to serve in suitable containers, with appropriate serving utensils—spoons, tongs, etc. We do have lots of electric circuits to plug in heating utensils.
Please keep in mind that we have no catering kitchen, so dishes cannot be washed on site. Limited rinsing of dishes can be done. Please ask us about this.

Self-Catering
Please note that you can also self-cater beverage service. That is, you can purchase beverages anywhere you like, and serve it to your guests. Two rules apply with beverage self-catering:
1. Beverages must be served without collecting money; that is, you cannot have a cash bar, and
2. If you serve hard liquor (other than beer, wine, or champagne) you must have one or more bar tenders, depending on the size of your group.
